icelandic dreams

I’ve stumbled upon some new artists these last few days. Well they aren’t really new, but I don’t think they have huge following here in the states.

The first band I happened to find :

Sin Fang Bous, a project one man project by Sindri Már Sigfússon. Think folky, experimental icelandic tunes set to dream like landscapes. below is the video to his song “Clangour and Flutes”

Sindri Már Sigfússon is also front man of the band Seabear. Seabear is made up of seven members. watch out hipsters, there is now a ICELANDIC ANIMAL COLLECTIVE!
check out their jam “I Sing, I Swim”

They even have a xylophone! Can you hear it?

Whats with all these folkie folk? maybe its because iceland is an isolated island. at least it’s green. since that’s way hip these days.
have fun in iceland kids!
